Grant Award The AIAA Sacramento Section’s, second annual Student Project Grant will award up to $2000 to engineering students working on aerospace related senior projects. The AIAA Sacramento Section Council will review all eligible applications and determine the grant winner(s) and the grant amount that will be awarded to each winner. The winner(s) will also be reimbursed for one year of student membership fees. In addition to the monetary prize, the AIAA Sacramento Section council will invite the winner(s) to present their project to a group of local industry professionals at one of our regularly scheduled dinner meetings. This will be a great opportunity for students to show off what they have done and network with professionals in the aerospace industry. Why is this grant being offered? The purpose of the Student Project Grant is to attract interest to the aerospace industry from students in the Sacramento region. By funding aerospace related projects, the AIAA Sacramento Section hopes that students will consider projects relating to the aerospace field which they may not have otherwise considered. Additionally, through this grant the AIAA Sacramento Section hopes to promote awareness of our organization and encourage students actively participate in AIAA Sacramento Section activities. 2007 Application Requirements 1.
